The person in the second picture is Ralph Nader. He is an independent candidate for the US Presidential elections, 2008. He was a Green Party candidate for the same in 1996 and 2000. He wrote the book 'Unsafe at any speed', a study that revealed that many American automobiles were unsafe, especially the Chevrolet Corvair manufactured by General Motors.
